If you want a Christmas gift that isn't more plastic, a way to make Santa feel real for one more year, or something your child can keep — here's how a personalized Santa letter book works and why families choose one.
Because being written to is a completely different feeling from being read about. Almost every Christmas book puts a child in a story with Santa in it. This one is addressed to your child from the first page — Santa says their name, tells them what he heard about their year, and signs off. The whole book is in his voice, which is why the letter at the end lands the way it does.
Because you tell him. You share one thing they did that made you proud, one kind thing they did for somebody else, and the things they love right now. Those answers become real pages — the proud moment is page three, the kind act is page four, what they love is page five — and Santa's letter at the end gathers the year up in his own hand. That specificity is the whole product: a child recognises a general compliment, but they cannot argue with Santa knowing they learned to swim.
No — and this was a deliberate design decision. The book never says Santa was watching, never says they were good enough, and never makes Christmas conditional on behaviour. The certificate recognises kindness, courage, effort, curiosity and growth: things a child can be proud of rather than anxious about. Every completed book ends with the child on the Nice List.
A printed Santa letter is one page and a template. This is a fourteen-spread illustrated hardcover in which your child appears on the page as Santa is describing them, with a keepsake letter and a signed certificate at the end. The letter is written fresh from your answers, not assembled from stock sentences.
The gifts that survive January are the ones that are about the child rather than about a toy. A personalized Santa letter book — where Santa names what they did this year and signs their Nice List certificate — is read all through December and kept long after the wrapping is gone.
Share your child's name and age, choose Classic Red, Christmas Green or Winter Blue, upload one clear photo, and tell Santa a few real things about their year. The book is written from your answers. Preview the opening pages free, edit anything, and only pay when you love it.
Parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles buying for children aged 1–9 — the years they believe. It is written as a read-aloud, so it works for a three-year-old hearing their name on every page and an eight-year-old reading Santa's letter themselves.
Order the hardcover book by Friday, December 4 for delivery before Christmas in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia and India. The PDF arrives instantly, so it works right up to Christmas Eve, and it comes free with every hardcover.
A personalized Santa letter book is a custom Christmas storybook written in Santa's voice and addressed to your own child. Rather than a story they read about Santa, it is a book Santa writes to them — naming what they did this year — illustrated from a photo you upload, and ending with a keepsake letter and an Official North Pole Nice List certificate.
Yes. You can preview the cover and Santa's opening pages for free with no credit card and no hidden catch. You can edit it and decide whether to continue before paying for the PDF at $14.99 or the printed hardcover at $49.99.
A letter of about 100 to 150 words, written on North Pole stationery and signed by Santa. It gathers up their year in his own words — the thing they did that made you proud and the kind thing they did — and tells them what he hopes for them next. It never promises a present.
No. "Santa is watching" and "if you keep being good" are banned from this book by design. Santa talks about what he has heard about their year, and the qualities he is proud of — kindness, trying, learning, helping, courage, curiosity. Christmas is never presented as something the child has to earn.
Yes. Tell us their name and who they are — "Grandma Susan", "my little brother Leo", "our dog Biscuit" — and Santa mentions them by name in the story. They are named in Santa's words rather than drawn, so nobody in your family is illustrated as a person we have never seen.
Your child's name and face, their age, the cover color, the illustration style, something they did this year that made you proud, something kind they did, what they love doing most, the words that describe them best, what they are hoping for at Christmas, someone special for Santa to mention, and anything else you would like Santa to know.
Yes. It is the final page of the book, designed as a certificate rather than a story page, with your child's name, the Christmas year, Santa's signature and the North Pole seal. If you buy the PDF you can print that page on its own and frame it.
It only takes a few minutes. We'll ask for your child's name, age, photo and two special moments from their year to create the preview. Afterward, you can optionally add a few more details to make Santa's letter even more personal.

Yes. Your photo and answers are used only to create your personalized book. They're not shared publicly, used to train models, or reused to create books for anyone else.

The difference between a sweet book and the one they keep is entirely in how specific your answers are.
"Learned to ride her bike without stabilisers in June" gives Santa something no other book could know. "Was good at school" gives him nothing. The more concrete the answer, the more startling it is when Santa says it back.
Helping with a new baby, sharing something they did not want to share, checking on a friend who was upset. Children remember the kind things they did far better than adults expect — and being recognised for one is the emotional centre of this book.
Santa will only ever say he heard they were hoping for it. He never promises to bring it, so it is safe to include — and it makes the letter feel like it was written by somebody who really was listening.
Their face appears on eight pages in eight different scenes, so a bright, front-facing photo with no hats, caps or sunglasses gives the most recognisable illustrations throughout.

Christmas morning is over in an hour and most of what was under the tree is gone by spring. These are the parts of it this book slows down and keeps.
There is a window — roughly three to eight — when Santa is completely, unquestionably real. It closes quietly and you rarely notice which Christmas was the last one.
Why it matters:
A letter with the year on it is the only record of that window. Ten years later it is the thing that proves they were once small enough to believe a letter came from the North Pole.
Children can tell the difference between a card with their name on it and someone who actually knows what they did. The first is nice; the second is astonishing.
Why it matters:
This book is built entirely on the second. Santa naming the summer they learned to swim is what makes a child go quiet and read the page again.
Children do small generous things constantly and most go unremarked — sharing when they did not want to, checking on someone who was sad, being gentle with a new baby.
Why it matters:
Page four is Santa noticing one of those. For a lot of children it is the first time anyone told them, out loud, that the kind thing they did counted.
The Nice List page is the one that leaves the book. It gets taped to a bedroom door, propped on a shelf, or framed — with their name and this year's date on it.
Why it matters:
It turns one page of a Christmas book into a thing they walk past every day, which is a far longer life than a story usually gets.
One book a year, each one naming what that child was actually like at that age — what they had just learned, what they were obsessed with, who they loved.
Why it matters:
Families who start at three have a shelf by nine: an accidental record of a whole childhood, written one Christmas at a time by Santa.
CelebrateAlly was started to make celebrations more meaningful and personalized. Santa letters are one of the oldest Christmas traditions and almost all of them are templates with a name pasted in. We built this so that Santa could say something true — the thing your child actually did this year — and so that the Nice List celebrated who they are rather than how well they behaved.
You share your child's name, their age, one photo, and a few real things about their year. The AI then writes a personalized Christmas book in Santa's voice, illustrated to resemble your child on every page they appear. It isn't pulled from a template or a pre-written database — each letter and certificate is written fresh from your answers.
Your family's photos are yours alone. We never use your data to train models, sell to third parties, or share with anyone. Photos are processed securely and deleted after your book is created. Your story stays your story.
We build with three principles: authenticity, inclusivity, and emotional impact. For this book that also meant two hard rules: Santa never promises a specific present, and no child has to earn their place on the Nice List.
